SHARED SUPPLY UPGRADES

Shared Supply Upgrades

Reliable New Feeds | Improved Pressure | Clean, Certified Installation

Expert in shared supplies, locating leaks, upgrading the shared supply and installing new independent water supply lines efficiently.

‍

Overview

A shared supply in Victorian, Edwardian, post-1930 or ex Local Authority homes can lead to reduced pressure, difficult leak tracing and joint liability for the shared supply. We install independent MDPE water supply lines using trenchless moling for minimal disturbance.

Our 3 Step Detection & Repair Process

Survey & Plan the New Route

We assess and survey your existing shared supply using high tech underground scanning equipment to locate underground utilities. This allows us to plan the safest route for your new independent water supply.

Install the New Supply

We install a new 25 mm or 32 mm MDPE pipe from your boundary to a new internal stop tap. Trenchless moling is used wherever possible to protect drives, paths and landscaped areas.

Reconnect, Reinstate & Certify

Once installed, your new water supply is pressure-tested and connected with a new internal MDPE Plasson stop valve. All disrupted surfaces are reinstated by our StreetWorks certified engineers, and a WaterSafe compliance certificate is issued on completion. All works meet UK Water Regulations.

Benefits of a Shared Supply Upgrade

Upgrading from a shared main gives you complete control over your water supply, improves flow and ensures long-term compliance.

  • Improved Pressure & Flow - A dedicated MDPE water supply ine provides stronger, more reliable water pressure throughout the property.
  • Your Own Stop Tap & Billing - Independent supplies give each property its own isolation point and direct billing — avoiding disputes and shared liability.
  • Clean, Trenchless Installation - Most work is completed in a single day using no-dig moling, reducing excavation and protecting finished surfaces.‍
  • Certified, Regulation-Compliant Work - All installations are completed by WaterSafe and Street Works approved engineers with full compliance paperwork provided.
